Album Art Temptations Aint Too Proud to Beg Album Art Judy in Disguise

    Part 3
The tracklist and the lodge; probably the about complicated aspect on such music projects. In this item case, the thought was to introduce not only Elvis' music but likewise his evolution through the years, That'south the reason why several tracks go repeated. RECONSIDER Baby, for case, can be heard first at an informal jam session in 56, then you've got the wonderful studio master take (1960) and finally, a picayune chip later, a live take on it in Hawaii in 1961. Same vocal, different musicians, different places, different circumstances.

  4. Bob Marley - Sentence

    1. Soul Shakeup Party
    2. She Used To Call Me Dada
    3. So Long Rastafari Telephone call You
    iv. Keep The Faith
    five. Jungle Fever

    6. Soul Rebel
    7. Wounded Lion In The Jungle
    eight. Babylon Experience Dis Ane
    9. You Talk Likewise Much
    10. Slogans

    - In effect a sequel to Confrontation - an album for those who have all of Bob's stuff and want more.

I have borrowed the championship from my friend Werner (owner of fansite wailer.de), who suggested that Marley intended a last trilogy of "Uprising", "Confrontation" and "Judgement".

"Soul Shakeup Political party" is a recut of the early on track "Soul Shakedown Political party" - from the Survival Sessions.
"She Used To Telephone call Me Dada" also comes from the Survival Sessions, and could easily have been a posthumous single. I have heard that the multitracks of this vocal are lost which is why it hasn't been officially released.
"So Long Rastafari Call You" was a track performed live but never included on an anthology. The one I've gone for is from the Kaya era of 1978.
"Continue The Faith" is a track that was as well performed alive but there's a rehearsal version so I have included that.
"Jungle Fever" is a runway from the Survival sessions that somewhat resembles "Exodus" so it fits well here.
"Soul Insubordinate" is a rehearsal version from 1978. Though he cut the rail several times in the tardily 60s and early 70s, this version is a late 70s rearrangement, and as the track was never rerecorded for an Island album or played alive in this era it'southward an interesting inclusion.
"Wounded Panthera leo In The Jungle" is a late rehearsal recording apparently dealing with Marley's illness.
"Babylon Feel Dis I" was recorded during the Survival sessions and plainly released as a dubplate during his lifetime - if so it's a very rare one.
"You Talk As well Much" is a demo (possibly a jam) that comes from 1980 or possibly earlier. Even though it seems somewhat unfinished it has a actually tricky pb riff and I'k surprised that in that location were never any attempts at finishing it past ex band-members.
"Slogans" was recorded as a sparse demo in 1980 though for the sake of including a consummate version, I've included the official remix made for "Africa Unite" in 2006 which fleshes information technology out with guitar and harmonies.

  5. Helm Beefheart And His Magic Ring: It Comes To You In A Plain Chocolate-brown Wrapper Marked "Strictly Personal"

Captain Beefheart's second album was originally going to exist a double anthology with a disc of blues tracks credited to 25th Century Quaker (alter-egos of the Magic Ring who would have opened their shows with their tracks, and whose picture is institute in the gatefold of the concluding "Strictly Personal") and a disc of tracks that would show the more psychedelic sound the grouping was developing.

After long recording sessions for Buddah in 1967 which ultimately did not reach a satisfactory level of product, the group moved to Bob Krasnow's label Blueish Thumb in 1968 and rerecorded a condensed combination of the two albums equally "Strictly Personal" along with a new rails "Ah Feel Similar Ahcid". The original concept for the anthology is particularly absurd to me, however -especially after rereading about information technology in John French'south book. Sundazed released a demo collection under the original title, which was pretty misleading every bit at that place wasn't an unreleased album but merely demos for it (contrasted to the original "Bat Chain Puller" for example.)

LP 1: (credited to 25th Century Quaker)

    Side A:
Ah Feel Like Ahcid Strictly Personal
25th Century Quaker Mirror Homo Sessions
Mirror Homo / Son Of Mere Human being Mirror Man Sessions/ Strictly Personal - This is a hybrid mix I made where the first track ends effectually half-dozen mins in before transitioning into the latter version's phased department

    Side B:
Tarotplane Mirror Man Sessions - Y'all could alternatively use the live version "Yer Gonna Need Somebody On Yer Bond" from "Grow Fins" which is a shortened arrangement.
Gimme That Harp Boy Strictly Personal
Korn Ring Finger Safe Equally Milk 1999 Reissue

LP ii: (credited to Helm Beefheart And His Magic Band)

    Side C:
    Condom As Milk Strictly Personal
Big Blackness Baby Shoes Safe Equally Milk 1999 Reissue
    Moody Liz Mirror Man Sessions
    Trust Us Strictly Personal

    Side D:
    On Tomorrow Strictly Personal
Beatle Bones 'N' Smokin' Stones Strictly Personal
Flower Pot Safe As Milk 1999 Reissue
Dirty Blue Gene Rubber Equally Milk 1999 Reissue
    Kandy Korn Strictly Personal

I've primarily used the Strictly Personal renditions as I consider them to exist the terminal versions (which in regards to "On Tomorrow" is true as it was merely instrumental in the '67 sessions). The exception is "Mirror Man", which was ameliorate in its original form, although I like the phased coda from the Strictly Personal version and then I added that onto it.

"Flower Pot" and "Dingy Blue Cistron" were supposed to take lyrics (which were based on Herb Bermann poems) merely Don never recorded them at this time. In that location are iii remakes of "Dirty Blue Gene" ("Spotlight Kid" and "Clear Spot" sessions, and a released version on "Doc At The Radar Station"), only none of them take the original lyrics or music. Conversely, its original music was reworked into "The Witch Doctor Life", but the final version of that is simply really based on a small department of the original song.

"Ah Feel Similar Ahcid" wasn't part of the original concept equally it was written after the decision to release a single anthology, simply it makes a perfect bookend to "Korn Ring Finger" and we can assume in a parallel universe where the group decided to go alee with the double album after writing the vocal that it would have been included. Information technology would be up to you if you want to leave the snippets of the vocal that Bob Krasnow edited in afterwards various tracks on "Strictly Personal". I don't actually see leaving them in doing any impairment.

  6. Responding to put this on my radar. I'll go into more particular later.
  7. A agglomeration of you on this forum actually helped with this 1. For Christmas, I made a custom LP for a friend of mine. The thought was to go artwork centered around the cartoon bears Milk and Mocha which are plant on social media (my friend adores them). So with help from others here, I came upwards with a compilation of songs with "Comport" in the title and had the guy at Custom Records cutting and impress information technology:

Occasionally, I've come across copies of Reggae Greats, a compilation of the 2 Isle albums "Catch A Fire" and "Burnin'" featuring Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer before they left. It is an outdated compilation but I similar the embrace, and I figured it needed an update. Whilst the pre-Island Wailers have been adequately chronicled, what is bottom known is that the group didn't officially pause upwards for a couple more years, doing solo work and the odd gig together where they played solo tracks as a band. A few of Bunny Wailer's solo singles were even credited to The Wailers. I wanted to make an updated compilation covering the period. I wanted to give equal representation, just Bob had more hits than Peter and Bunny. After the group formally split, Bunny signed with Island and Peter with CBS.

I've tried to include a few things on this that haven't seen official reissue or are just interesting non-LP things that may be overlooked.

The terminal 1-ii of Kicking Inside Of Me/Shake Off The Ghosts is still stunning.
